Finally, the student is assigned a username and password and directed to the login page for the training system.

UST Class A/B Operator Training Overview

The PASS training course consists of 8 primary sections. They closely mirror the federal requirements for Class A and Class B operator training. Some states have adopted additional training requirements. Each Section is followed by section quiz. If a quiz question is answered incorrectly the application automatically redirects the trainee to the correct course information. The student is then given an additional opportunity to answer the quiz question. This training platform assures comprehension of the course material, reinforces learner retention, and provides a “can’t fail” approach to the quiz section. The section quiz questions help prepare the trainee for the final exam at the conclusion of the A/B training. Eighty percent of the final test questions must be answered correctly to achieve a passing score. Each section utilizes a combination of text, video, and narration. This course is available on demand, 24/7. It may be stopped and restarted to provide maximum schedule flexibility. The trainee may review the modules before proceeding to the final exam. The final exam must be completed in a single session. Once a passing score is achieved on the final exam a certificate of successful completion may be printed.
