Forms & Inspection Updates (August 2026)
August was a deep-clean month rather than a build-wide one. Most of it went into North Carolina, where the PASS Forms Team reworked the state's entire functionality testing set in one pass: sixteen smart forms covering piping, spill buckets, containment sumps, overfill prevention, leak detection and cathodic protection.
Two brand-new forms joined the library alongside that, and two more picked up fixes technicians had asked for by name.
North Carolina
The set covers the state's UST testing end to end. Piping integrity, tank installation, overfill prevention, four annual leak detection checks, and both cathodic protection evaluations, galvanic and impressed current.
Spill buckets and containment sumps carry several forms each, one per test method, so a tech opens the form for the test actually being run: hydrostatic or vacuum, Dri-Sump, DPleak, and low liquid level on the sumps. A triennial visit touches piping, spill buckets and sumps on the same trip, which is why the whole set moving together matters more than any one form in it.
Two new forms
Mississippi picked up a triennial test for the secondary containment on UST piping, built to the state's own procedure. It shipped with a matching service plan, so the test can be scheduled and recorded like any other triennial item.
The other new form is a drop tube inspection. The forms already in the library did not ask everything a drop tube inspection needs to record, so this one covers the full check. It went in unbranded, which makes it available to anyone running the same inspection.
Fixes technicians asked for
Every question on the Oregon UST Monthly Walkthrough Inspection Checklist now has an N/A choice. A site that does not have a given piece of equipment can mark the question N/A instead of leaving it blank or forcing a pass or fail.
The Acurite Line Tightness Test got two changes. The Line ID fields are editable, so a site with more than five lines can number the lines correctly instead of restarting at 1 on each duplicated page. Pass and Fail results are color-coded, so a completed form reads at a glance.
